Policies on data exchange and reproducibility

Ship Science and Technology (Cartagena) encourages authors to facilitate data sharing and reproducibility, provided that this does not breach existing confidentiality agreements or compromise the identity of research subjects. In any case, authors should be aware that editors or reviewers may request underlying data as part of the review process.

Authors may link their article to the corresponding dataset via cross‑referencing. It is recommended that this cross‑reference be bidirectional: from dataset to article and from article to dataset. Authors may deposit their dataset on the platform of their choice; Ship Science and Technology (Cartagena) recommends using Mendeley Data.
