Ethical oversight policies

The Editorial Committee of Ship Science and Technology (Cartagena) will request information from authors regarding the ethical standards of their research, which must follow the principles established in the Singapore Statement on Research Integrity.

When applicable, authors must detail the ethical procedures carried out in their study and, upon request by editors or reviewers, provide relevant information about the ethical safeguards implemented—particularly concerning consent or assent, or authorization for database use.

Any use of photographs depicting individuals must be supported by the appropriate authorizations and must not cause any harm to the persons portrayed.
